Roush Yates Manufacturing Solutions is a precision CNC parts manufacturing organization with expertise in multi axis machining of metal and plastic parts with complex geometries. We are currently searching for a Quality Manager to provide leadership and guidance for the company quality management system(s) (QMS), which includes establishing, implementing and maintaining quality management system(s) and ITAR compliance.  This position will also oversee day-to-day operations of the quality lab and staff.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serves as management representative for the RYMS quality management system(s). This includes the responsibility and authority to 1) ensure that processes needed for the quality management system are established, implemented and maintained; 2) report to top management on the performance of the quality management system and any need for improvement; 3) ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization, and, 4) exercise organizational freedom and have unrestricted access to top management to resolve quality management issues.
  • Ensure quality management system(s) certification, including oversight of root cause analysis, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives, and leading internal and external audits.
  • Develop, revise and maintain, with the assistance from applicable departments, procedures to ensure compliance with quality management system standards.
  • Lead and support company-wide efforts to obtain and maintain ISO 9001, AS9100, and ISO 13485 certification.
  • Act as the management liaison with auditors.
  • Oversee the implementation of quality audits and document gap analysis for both internal and external stakeholders per QMS standard.
  • Execute PPAP, FMEA and other quality control plans.
  • Maintain quality documentation in compliance with customer needs and quality standards ensuring documents are properly controlled.
  • Train organization on documented procedures.
  • Enforce compliance with internal procedures to ensure that established quality and process procedures are being followed by the appropriate personnel at all times through the use of corrective actions.
  • Participate in the contract review of vendor/customer quality requirements and evaluate the company's capability to satisfy these.
  • Review quality plans submitted by vendors; audit and inspect vendor facilities for quality compliance.
  • Supervises staff responsible for QMS administration and the quality lab.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or other technical related course of study and/or minimum of 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment in the quality field.
  • Thorough knowledge of quality management systems including ISO 9001, AS9100 and ISO 13485.
  • Experience with PPAP and FMEAs.
  • Experience supervising employees, including performance management, staffing, and workforce management.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience in an aerospace and/or medical environment preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to learn internal software applications.
