The Partnership Development position will report to the VP of Strategic Partnership and Marketing. This person will develop group strategy and be directly responsible for driving sponsorship revenue by securing new, strategic, sponsor partnerships for RYE. To achieve these goals and maximize value for RYE, this position will work closely with the Executive Team, Marketing, Development, and other key internal groups as dictated by prospect opportunities. 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Possess advanced knowledge of the sponsorship marketplace and key contacts within it
  • Aggressive approach to prospecting and relationship building
  • Develop a deep understanding of the RYE brand and the type of partnerships that align with our objectives and strategy
  • Possess the ability to detect trends in the marketplace which align with RYE objectives and strategy to identify new prospects
  • Support the development of key initiatives
  • Contribute to marketing strategies as they align with new business development relationships and ensure consistency
  • Foster internal relationships to connect new business initiatives across motorsports
  • Exhibit dynamic presentation and communication skills
  • Experience negotiating multi-year sponsorship including IP rights, controlled media and custom activations
  • Work with VP to develop/institute best in class processes and approach to key conferences and events (i.e. CES)
  • Host qualified prospects at race weekends and events
  • Provide partnership expertise in the comprehension of contractual elements and understanding of partners' marketing/business goals objectives, target audience and competitors
  • Preparing presentations and documents to pitch and present to partners

Qualification

  • Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university; MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in corporate sales or sponsorship services in a sports related field
  • Position requires 40-50% travel, primarily on weekends
  • Must have strong financial and analytical skills
  • Able to prioritize in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to source and develop partnership opportunities
